Qingdao TSE was jointly established and formally inaugurated on May, 2002 by the Qingdao Municipal Government, Qingdao Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Qingdao Science Venture Capital Investment, and Qingdao Production Promotion Center.

The Qingdao TSE is a socialized service providing platform for the capitalization on science and technology, targeting the metropolitan clusters in ShandongPeninsula with QingdaoMunicipality as the locomotive for the economy of this region.

The Qingdao TSE takes the responsibility of boosting Science and Technology’s transfer and commercialization in the market, especially in the Qingdao local area and in the Shandong peninsula. It is playing the leading role in the process of combining capital and technology.

The Qingdao TSE makes use of a multitude of preferential policies formulated by Qingdao municipality and the Science Street Managerial Committee, and does its best to create an excellent business environment by way of effective all-round incubation services to assist innovative individual or groups in starting businesses. Furthermore, it aims at promoting the commercialization of research results and bringing up first-class technology-based firms and brilliant entrepreneurs.

Domestically the Qingdao TSE has already built up strategic cooperative relationships with other provincial and municipal tech-market organizations all around China. By forming a nationwide “Tech-Market Net”, all previous local separate databases are connected, thus establishing a vast network covering almost all Chinese enterprises in all industries.
